NEW PATIENTS

For new patients, a 60 minute appointment with Dr Nic is strongly recommended except for simple and straight-forward initial presentations.  This is because a lengthy consultation is generally needed to explore all elements and initiate a treatment plan.  Extra time allows for thorough examination, careful explanation of the plan and further education.

EXISTING PATIENTS

When choosing your review appointment please be mindful of what needs to be covered - you will usually be advised at your initial appointment what length review appointment to choose.  Follow up appointments are usually an opportunity to monitor progress, review test results, refine or re-evaluate strategies and address your concerns.

TELEHEALTH CONSULTS

Rebates are applicable for telehealth consults following at least one face-to-face consult in the prior 12 months.  Please note, telehealth links will be emailed to patients the day before your scheduled consultation. 

 

BULK BILLING

Bulk billing is not available.

SCRIPT FEES

A script fee of $35 is charged for repeat scripts not requiring an appointment.  We recommend you organise all necessary scripts or repeats within the consultation itself to avoid this script fee.

COSTS FOR INVESTIGATIONS

Some diagnostic tests may have an out-of-pocket cost not covered by Medicare.  Patients will be informed of these costs if private laboratory tests are recommended.
