FAQ
Integrative Bioenergetics is combining traditional or allopathic medicine with the belief that health, ageing and disease result from imbalances in the flow of energy through the body. It involves eating nutrient-dense foods, rich in polyphenols which are readily absorbed through a healthy gastrointestinal tract. The mitochondria, powered by healthy hormone levels, are then able to derive energy to ensure normal functioning of every cell in the body. It is a healing-orientated approach that takes into account the whole person.
No. Whilst Dr Nic is a qualified and skilled GP, Dr Nic is dedicated to providing longer consultations to look at overall/energetic health, health optimisation and to provide more in-depth, root-cause medicine for complex conditions. For acute, short-term health issues such as a cold, it is best that you visit your usual GP. Dr Nic is happy to work alongside your usual GP to assist with managing your health.
Before your initial consultation, please ensure you have completed and submitted the New Patient Form (emailed to you at the time of booking). Please bring along all recent blood test results, scans, X rays or any specialist letters to the initial appointment. We will also need your current Medicare card or details to process your rebate.
A comprehensive history, relevant examination and investigations will be carried out. A treatment plan will then be developed for you. This will be a collaborative process and you will be able to ask questions at any stage of the consultation. A follow up appointment will also be booked. This will be either 15 mins, 30 mins or 45 mins depending on the complexity of your situation.
